Paula joined Capital Associates in 2001 after serving on Capitol Hill for more than 20 years where she served as Chief of Staff to Senators Roy W Wilt and Bob Robbins. During her tenure in the Senate, she served as Executive Director of Public Health and Welfare, Senate Game and Fisheries, Senate Military and Veteran Affairs and Senate Local Government. She worked on more than 250 sets of regulations and contributed significantly to the PA Health Care Containment Council and was integral to the passage of the state's first comprehensive shallow oil and gas drilling in the Commonwealth.

In 1995, Paula joined Governor Tom Ridge's administration serving as Deputy Director of Boards and Commissions where she managed all appointments to more than 800 boards and commissions under the jurisdiction of the Governor.

Paula has been involved extensively or assisting in campaigns for President, U S Senate, Governor, PA State Senate and House as well as local government campaigns. She served on the Agriculture Policy Committee during the Corbett/Cawley Campaign Committee and chaired the transition team for the Horse Racing Industry in PA for Governor Elect Corbett.
