The Connecticut Group (TCG) is a bipartisan firm of lawyer-lobbyists that have over 20 years Government Affairs experience in CT. TCG has worked on many major bills covering energy, privacy, data collection, insurance, renewables, recycling and EPR.

James joined the Connecticut Group in November 2016. In 2014, while still in law school, he led a successful grass-roots campaign to pass Connecticut's benefit corporation statute. In 2015, he was appointed by Maj. Leader Joe Aresimowicz to the Commission on Connecticut's Leadership in Corporation and Business Law, where he drafted a comprehensive plan to make Connecticut a national leader in the social enterprise sector.James manages bill tracking for the Connecticut Group, and works on client issues in the energy, technology, tax, and insurance sectors.He lives in Hartford with his wife and two children, and serves as the President of the Greater Hartford Young Democrats, and chair of his neighborhood's local taxing district.James received a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Communications from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2009, and his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2015.
