Introduction

Mr. Paul's practice is concentrated in environmental and land use law, including: permitting and zoning of manufacturing facilities, petroleum marketers, and energy producers; compliance and regulatory due diligence associated with mergers and acquisitions; and toxic tort and cost recovery litigation, including defense of claims related to personal injury and property damage including toxic mold.

He has been voted by his peers as The Phoenix Business Journal Best of the Bar in environmental law and has been voted for selection in the 2006 and 2007 editions of The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of environmental law and government relations.

Biography

Patrick is a partner in Snell & Wilmer's Phoenix, Arizona office and a coordinator of the firm's Real Estate, Environment, Energy and Finance Law Group. He represents regulated industries on a variety of environmental and land use matters, including compliance with state and federal water, waste, and air regulations, environmental permitting, and zoning, and federal and state toxic tort and cost recovery litigation, including toxic mold and indoor air quality claims. He assists energy production companies in the siting, construction, modification, and operation of production facilities. He frequently speaks to business and professional groups on toxic tort and mold related claims. Patrick is President of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel, chair-elect of the Executive Council of the State Bar of Arizona's Environmental Section. He serves as Chairman of the City of Phoenix Board of Adjustment, Co-Chair of the Greater Phoenix Environmental Technology Industry Cluster and is Past-President of the Grand Canyon Section of the Air & Waste Management Association. He is a member of the ABA Editorial Board of the section's quarterly environmental publication. He is Founder and President of the Arizona Celtic Bar Association. Patrick is a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Law, where he was managing editor of the Law Journal and the State University of New York at Albany.
